The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

The swimming pool wasn’t really a swimming pool more a paddling pool. They boasted of many things that they didn’t have like staff unable to make me a cocktail. They tried to be helpful with my gluten intolerance but not very effective!

Room was great and spacious, though says you can cook but facilities for cooking weren't much, a microwave and toaster oven only. Bed was comfy. Pickup and drop off to airport was sensational. They were waiting as we exited, so that was a real plus! Supermarket, outlet stores and heaps of restaurants were just 5 minutes walk, as was the bus terminal if you wanted to get a bus to Cebu city (20php). The breakfast was included and was absolutely amazing! Masarap!

Was a little disappointed with the pool. Was smaller than I'd imagined from the photos. There weren't many lounges, and they were not great quality. Was more disappointed that there were signs in the elevator promoting the Pool Bar and cocktails, however it was never open.

The hotel is located in front of a really busy road, which would make impossible to sleep, we had to change our room and pay more.

The staff at Elosia were exceptional. They were super responsive to our needs and really helpful. It is the staff that give this place the rating they have. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the shower was hot and powerful, which can be hard to find in Philippines.

The breakfast was pretty limited; I have a gluten intolerance so it always hard for me to eat well in Asia, but the breakfast was more limited than most. I only could eat watermelon and an omelette. My partner can eat pretty much anything but he was also quite limited; my suggestion to the hotel would be to widen their offering of food. They have toas, waffles, and cereal, which was great but the majority of food available for breakfast were things like; stirfry noodles, garlic rice etc.... food that natives eat for breakfast. This is great, but the hotel was full of Western people and we are not used to eating 'dinner-like' foods for breakfast. My recommendation would be to have the weighting off food available leaning towards western food - this might be really uncultured of me but I just can't eat noodles and rice and marinated meats for breakfast. My only other problem was that as we were on the 4th floor, at the front of the hotel... it was extremely noisy. The traffic outside was extremely noisy although thankfully, because of the virus curfew, the traffic was pretty much gone by 10pm. If staying once the virus has gone, request to be in the new wing; not the old one. Also, if you are given room 403 in the old wing; you will hear really loud buzzing noises pretty much all day and night. The lift generator is above the room and it is really loud. We called to ask them as we were worried the noise sounded electrical and wasn't safe and so they investigated it and kindly taped up the lift for us to try and stop the noise. They were so helpful and tried so hard for us; it was still noisy but didn't have the heart to tell them as it was late and turning off the lift didn't help unfortunately. Try and get a different floor, and try to move to the new wing (slightly more expensive i think).

Clean comfortable room, nice food, handy for the airport with the bonus of a free airport shuttle.

Checkout process very slow.

There’s everything you could want: a coffee shop, a restaurant, a pool and a pool table. The outdoor area and the second wing are 100 meters back from the road so it’s quiet. There’s a free shuttle to the airport and it’s next to a little mall with shops and restaurants.

Rooms are pretty compact, and so is the pool. Pool could be cleaned more often especially when it’s busy.

I was there to quarantine while I wait for the result of my covid test as I am a returning Filipino. I was served all meals and was well informed of the development. The staff even went the extramile and printed the results for us. They were wonderful.

They upgraded me to the best room (I am truly grateful). The could have been aired a bit first though as it smelled like it had not been used for quite a while. I opened the huge glass doors facing the pool for a while to let air circulate and that was it no more old air smell.
