Comfortable.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
The swimming pool wasn’t really a swimming pool more a paddling pool. They boasted of many things that they didn’t have like staff unable to make me a cocktail. They tried to be helpful with my gluten intolerance but not very effective!

Staff are so friendly and one of my preferred hotels in Lapu Lapu
The staff at Elosia were exceptional. They were super responsive to our needs and really helpful. It is the staff that give this place the rating they have. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the shower was hot and powerful, which can be hard to find in Philippines.
The breakfast was pretty limited; I have a gluten intolerance so it always hard for me to eat well in Asia, but the breakfast was more limited than most. I only could eat watermelon and an omelette. My partner can eat pretty much anything but he was also quite limited; my suggestion to the hotel would be to widen their offering of food. They have toas, waffles, and cereal, which was great but the majority of food available for breakfast were things like; stirfry noodles, garlic rice etc.... food that natives eat for breakfast. This is great, but the hotel was full of Western people and we are not used to eating 'dinner-like' foods for breakfast. My recommendation would be to have the weighting off food available leaning towards western food - this might be really uncultured of me but I just can't eat noodles and rice and marinated meats for breakfast. My only other problem was that as we were on the 4th floor, at the front of the hotel... it was extremely noisy. The traffic outside was extremely noisy although thankfully, because of the virus curfew, the traffic was pretty much gone by 10pm. If staying once the virus has gone, request to be in the new wing; not the old one. Also, if you are given room 403 in the old wing; you will hear really loud buzzing noises pretty much all day and night. The lift generator is above the room and it is really loud. We called to ask them as we were worried the noise sounded electrical and wasn't safe and so they investigated it and kindly taped up the lift for us to try and stop the noise. They were so helpful and tried so hard for us; it was still noisy but didn't have the heart to tell them as it was late and turning off the lift didn't help unfortunately. Try and get a different floor, and try to move to the new wing (slightly more expensive i think).
